Chapter 9

'So this is how I'll die? Is Arceus finally done with me? Is this the fate he has decided for me?  I was honored to serve you 'til the end, My Lord…  Please… Don't forget about your loyal servant on this lowly earth…' __________________________________________________________________________________________

Two beings occupy a lonely part of the universe, a different dimension, all to themselves. Radiating two powerful energies, Dark Vermillion and Light Ultramarine, Pearls and Diamonds they are. The separate space they occupy was created by the Roseate, as a private place for them to share together.

The Spatial Monarch opened his slits, angered and concerned his rubies. "I cannot just lay in wait any longer!" He loosed his signature roar, the dimension fluctuating violently. Several rips in the space caused millions of hieroglyphs to be sent inside and whirlpool around the two super beings. Opening a different portal, the multitudes escaped back to their own dimension.

"We cannot interfere with the human affairs. You know that." A calming sonorous much like his reprimanded. His companion shot him a menacing glare, but the Sapphire entity knew it wasn't real. He had known his counterpart for far too long, he knew him all too well. Boring into his rouge eyes, he snarled and averted his presence, knowing his companion was right.

The Temporal Lord approached his equal, putting his neck on his brother's. "Have you ever thought that I wish to assist as well?" His sibling just growled at his words. "I feel helpless as well, my brother. But, his commands we cannot defy…"

For a long time, there was nothing said. The two opposites and equals just floated, enjoying each other's foreign warmth of water and steel. Only listening, feeling the steady heartbeats and the slow breaths of one another, knowing that their governed states becoming only steadier.

"Something must change." The Spatial Lord said.

His sibling sighed. "We are powerless, dear Palkia. Lord Arceus rests forever dormant. We cannot rouse him…"

"Dialga, I just… It's not right." Palkia was at a loss for words. Waiting around isn't right…

"Don't you think Lord Giratina is aware of it all, as well?" He questioned. Palkia couldn't win reasoning with his counterpart. It's futile to even try.

"I hate it when you always correct my thinking, you stupid time traveler." He growled.__________________________________________________________________________________

It was finally nighttime, but still, efforts fruitless. Ratchet was on his terminal trying to track the Decepticon warship for about an hour, Rafael even aiding his attempts. Suzume was pacing around the base fuming and worried, which was not her nature at all. Mukuro was the impatient one, but even more surprising, she was sitting cross-legged on the floor, dead silent.

Miko and Jack were helping as well, but even with their combined help, nothing. Bulkhead and Bumblebee had been in a different sector of the base, sparring, along with their leader. Suzume's and Mukuro's world turned upside down. Without her, they were alone, undisciplined, and incomplete. She took it all for granted, thinking that they didn't need her, but she was then saw that they were unable to function without her.

Hearing a door slide open, thundering footsteps approach my suspended frame. "Wake up, fleshling." Seeing no reaction, the warlord jabbed a shock stick directly between my ribcage. The electricity fried my heart, giving it an unintentional jumpstart. I knew it was only to rouse me in the worst way, by unbearable pain.

The voltage exposed my eyes, like a mirror, clearly reflecting his predator gleaming optics and frightening razor-sharp teeth. The flashbacks emerge and strike unanticipated, impulses to my arms to attack, unknown energy provoked. Power driven by fear, I feel energized and my pain numbed, but the metallic behemoth preventing me from even breathing.

"I have some questions that you would be wise to answer, human." His vocalizer was deep and commanding. Not knowing who the transformer was and sensing a great evil within, no doubt in my mind saying otherwise that he was the leader of the Decepticons.

I try to use my vocal chords to say something, anything, but they were severely damaged as well. Only a tiny squeak came out. He shoved the prod back inside again but on a higher setting, grinning maliciously at the agonized screech that was summoned by the intense electricity. "Amazing little creatures, able to withstand such torture." He lunging it farther this time, the electricity even higher. "You are able to withstand more abuse than the rest of your species. Why is that?"

I cough blood up from my stomach, or what's left of it. My eyes are diluted, becoming foggier without my clean reflecting. Saving what little strength in my reserves, I seal my eyes away from the silver nightmare, hoping that action would prevent any more pressing recollections. "Why should I answer?" I utter, my voice close to shattering.

Again, he pushes it deeper into the gaping hole in my abdomen. It tears to the other side, a liver at the end of the electrified prongs. Pulling it out, the vitality was electrocuted and melted. "I have little patience for you! Tell me what I want to know, stupid human!!" The mech roared.__________________________________________________________

Mukuro's eyes flash open, and she jumps to her feet. This time using the yellow ladder on the cement leveling, she rushes to Ratchet's terminal. "Ratchet! I think I found the coordinates!!!" She exclaims.

Immediately, every head in the base lifts and gathers near the terminal. "How can you be sure?" He asks.

"I could sense her! She was in chains, high in the exosphere, and is in grave condition!!" Suzume had quite enough of her shouting, and silenced her.

"Why could you get a hold of her bond, and not I?! Are you lying?! Do you have the coordinates for Ratchet?! Huh? Do you?!" Suzume's temper flared, lashing out without reproach. Mukuro was had an ashamed face, she wasn't able to get that much. In this instance, the two Shinobi had traded their personas with each other.

She looked away, trying to avoid her trine mate's hateful gaze. "No…"

"I thought as much…" A cold smile grew on the once-Lolita girl. "You truly are worthless then…" Suzume started to laugh at her team mate.

Clenching her teeth, she fell to her knees trying to grasp the cement, holding fast her urge to cry. Rafael ran to the fallen rouge female, and glared at Suzume. "What is wrong with you?! She's trying to help, and you just shoot her down!" Suzume's eyes slanted at the boy, and walked off.

Eyes flushing open again, pushing the boy away gently, and landing onto the Medic's shoulder. She leaned downward as best as she could, but couldn't reach the buttons. The Doc bot held her up and away from his beloved computer, and placed her on the cement leveling. "Don't touch." He said firmly.

"I know the coordinates, Ratch! But they're constantly on the move, so let me put them in!" She clenched the yellow railings tightly, hoping that he would let her. Suzume glared at her disapprovingly.

"Are you sure, Mukuro?" The Prime asked. Mukuro nodded. He looked to his old friend, telling him that he had to let her.

The medic moved from the terminal, allowing her to input the coordinates. She leapt down to the console, focusing on the bond that was diminishing within her captured leader, and punched in the coordinates. She descended, and Ratchet activated the groundbridge. Mukuro darted for the swirling color spectrum, only to be held up by Optimus.

He picked her up, and placed her in Ratchet's hand, pouting. Ratchet attached another video relay onto her waist, for safety. "We don't want to lose you, just like Shiroyuki." He said, putting her down.

"I'm coming too. She's my leader, as well." Suzume walked to Ratchet, who just sighed, and did the same.

"Once you walk through the portal, you should be somewhere in the cargo bay." He reminded them.

"We're coming with." Arcee said, Optimus, Bulkhead, Bumblebee behind her. "It's my fault that Soundwave took her."

"Be careful, there are very likely to be patrols to prevent infiltration." The Medic said. The rescue group was prepared, and stepping into the transporter, they were going to get her back.

"We're coming, Shiro. Hang on just a little longer." Mukuro's last thoughts before being teleported.

Stepping through, Optimus and Bumblebee were outside the ship on the docking area. Bumblebee took a look around, and buzzed to Optimus about their transport. Optimus opened his comm. "Ratchet, we are on the outside of the ship. Arcee, Buklhead, Suzume, and Mukuro are separated."

"You were being teleported on a moving mass, so you were taken to different sectors of the ship." He states. "I'll try to get in contact with the others, just find a way inside in the meantime." He closed off, and took the command.

"Where are we Bulkhead?" Arcee asked, charging her guns behind a wall.

"Don't know, 'Cee." Bulkhead right behind her.

"The ship is friggin' huge!" Mukuro exclaimed, hands crossed behind her neck.

"Yeah… Where do you think the others' are?" Suzume was impressed by the vastness and size of the ship.

Her counterpart shrugged. "We need to be cautious." Suzume nodded.

"Mukuro! Suzume! Are you there?" The human party stopped, and ducked to a corner. Suzume activated their comm. link.

"Ratchet? Where is everyone?" Mukuro asked into the comm.

"I finally contacted you all! You're all on speaker, so just listen!" Every Autobot and human was all ears, in the safety behind corners, but listening. "You all are in different locations of the Nemesis, so you need to regroup. Optimus and Bee is on the 5th level, Arcee and Bulkhead the 2nd, and Mukuro and Suzume the 1st level. I'm assuming Shiroyuki is being held at Suzume and Mukuro's floor."

"Optimus and Bumblebee, a surprise attack to distract the soldiers would give the shinobi a chance to free Shiroyuki without drawing to much attention. Arcee and Bulkhead, since you're on the second floor you can raid the data archive to find out why they would target her and what they are planning."

The listeners took it in well, it was the accepted plan. "Good thinking, Ratchet." Optimus cocked his hands for his firearms, the young scout imitating.

"Let's go, Bulk." Arcee had one arm a gun, the other her scythe. Bulkhead had two full cannons, ready for battle.

"Silent as the night, deadly as beast within!" Mukuro and Suzume emerged from their cover and darted down the spacious corridor.

Hearts beating in determination, Hearts beating in stealth, Hearts beating in apprehension, Hearts beating as one, they pressed forward. Knowing their parts, they play it out.___________________________________________________________________________________

"Let our feelings and hopes ride with you all…" Palkia grievously said.

"Shiroyuki must live… If she perishes, Earth is doomed." Dialga lamented. __________________________________________________________________________________________

"I will ask you once more human. How is it that you are able to harm my troops?" He seethed. He was this close to ending her pathetic life right here, but she was still of use.

"I didn't kill anyone…" I mutter. My voice was so weak and overtaxed; I felt some of my vocals coming undone and blood bubbling forth from my throat. I gagged and threw up so much claret, the tyrant only relishing the increasing sight of my vitals spilling on the floor.

"Where do you get your power, you pathetic fleshbag?!" He roared for the final time. My eyes were officially closed to conserve the last liters of blood circulating.

"From…" I gag again.

"From?" He pressed closer. I could smell the coldness from his exhales, he has no kokoro. He's heartless. Metal and Fearsome, thriving off the pain of the helpless.

I was about to summon the last bit of air in my lungs, when he turned around, eying the door. Again, that sound… He faced me again. "Yes? I'm listening." He growled.

"My lord, I have results you really would like to see." An unknown voice on his comm. link interrupted. He acknowledged, and shot me one more glare.

"Guard, and make sure no one comes through that door!" He barked at the Eradicons. They saluted fearfully as the mech left the room, immediately sealing the door, triple locked.

My eyes too weak to open, I use my last resort; which in my condition isn't the smartest thing to do. Clearing my mind and heart, a sense of calming golden gleam blesses my eyes.
Borrowing the power of the Pokémon Luxray, I now have its ability to see in the darkness without further stressing. Using the limited time for his golden glare wisely, I examine the room I'm in, the quantity of the guards, and how much blood has escaped.

'Ten… I could probably make it out if I didn't lose so much.' The gleam wore off, and I was even more tired than before. 'I really am going to die here.'

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee were very busy on the fifth level. At their feet, the helms and corpses of the slaughtered Vehicons littered. More pressed on, fighting bravely, the two Autobots becoming tired of the incoming hordes. "More incoming!" He said. Bumblebee used a dead carcass as a shield, deflecting the shots fired, and then used it as one trooper's death.

"Lord Megatron! Lord Megatron!" A covered Eradicon comm. linked his leader, ducking at the fired shots.

Megatron stopped his stride to Medical Bay and answered the call. "What is it?"

"Autobots have infiltrated the ship! We're fighting them on the fifth level, and we're getting torn up!" The panicked Vehicon replied.

Megatron raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Prime?" The 'con can well hear the battle from his link.

"Affirmative. We need your assistance Sir!!!!" Seeing it safe for a minute, he peeked from the corner and fired his cannon. Bumblebee was stricken in the leg, but he couldn't afford to falter, lest pay with his life. Cannon fire was pouring out like a heavy rain, many taking cover behind corners.

His blood boiled with the intense desire to fight Prime became overwhelming. "Leave Prime to me!" He abandoned the original purpose of visiting Sickbay, and his natural warrior nature getting the better of him.

Finding the bridge, Arcee and Bulkhead bounded in, shooting the Vehicons positioned there. Once cleared, they locked the exits and entrances and proceeded with the plan gleaming. "Ratchet, we're in the Archives." Arcee comm. linked the expecting doctor back at their base.

"Start by searching their recent activity. It should contain their plans for whatever reason they kidnapped Shiroyuki." Ratchet explained. It would've been easier if their comm. links allowed them to see what was going on too, but that was the job of the video relays attached to Suzume and Mukuro.

Arcee opened up the files she was told to, Bumblebee guarding the doors. Something didn't sit well with the blue Femme. After repetitive searching in the recommended records, she couldn't find a thing. "There aren't any records depicting anything on their recent activity involving Shiroyuki."

"That's impossible! Check again!" Ratchet slammed his fists on his poor console. The other children left at the base had never seen the doctor be so concerned about a human's welfare.

"I did! There's nothing there!" She exclaimed, becoming agitated at the elder Autobot for not believing that she tried. "I tried everything! Shiroyuki, Human, Fleshling, Albino, Experiments, everything!"

Not that far away from their position on the bridge, a stoic mech observed.

Bumblebee checked his radar, and was surprised that there was a Decepticon energy signature in the room. Using his instincts and warnings, he fired at the supposed place that it was lying in wait. Soundwave moved, becoming known to the infiltrators.

Arcee ran for a cover, and fired along with her partner. Soundwave blocked every shot with his lengthy limbs, protecting something that was dangling at his back connecting him to something. Arcee noticed this and started aiming her fire at the hanging wire. Once landing a hit, Soundwave faltered and fell to his knees.

As quick as it was, he immediately retreated in a back exit. Arcee followed after him, Bumblebee close behind her. He backed off into a secret opening that led to the outside, more specifically, the clouds. In what had seemed that the Autobots had him surrounded, he opened the security latch and jumped backwards into the swirling clouds.

"Lord Megatron, Autobots were spotted in the bridge. Purpose: Access records regarding the human." He contacted his lord. The spy drone glided under the belly of the Nemesis, looped up to the front and transformed. "They were unable to gather anything because of the data transfer, but I have received some minor damage to one of my wires."

The Decepticon was deadlocked in battle with his rival, the Autobot Leader Optimus Prime, and was unable to answer his loyal follower. Soundwave could hear the details ensuing violently, knowing that there was another breach. He accessed the control lock leading to the bottom floorings of the flagship to the first deck.

Peeking behind another corner, the two humans caught sight of quite a few soldiers outside a door. "Kitto. Surely, that's where they have her." Mukuro mused. Her younger comrade tugged at her armored gauntlet. The two sank down to the floor to make themselves as small as they could and discuss their strategy.

"Charging in full-flank would alert would cause those guys to call for reinforcements. We need an approach that wouldn't give them a chance to alert anyone." Suzume whispered.

"We don't have much time. Shiroyuki's heart is slowing to an almost complete stop to conserve her vitality. I think that rushing in wouldn't be the smartest thing, but we have to risk it." Mukuro supposed. Footsteps could be heard faintly from farther away, but it gained sound as they drew closer.  An unidentified Trooper marched down the hallway and looked downward to the humans. He charged his gun at them, drawing the attention of the scheming girls.

Mukuro saw the purple flashing, and grabbed her team mate out of the way simultaneously when the shot was fired. Out of the way of the fuchsia searing burst, Mukuro extended her katana, Rengetsu Togaya, and leapt on the attack. The Eradicon tried to blast the human while in the air, but it all ended when it was deeply coercing its fangs into the head of her enemy.

The sentinels changed their claws for their artilleries and half of them advanced toward the small pests, the others remaining in reserve for their station. Glaring at the forwarding opponents, she welcomed the challenge.

Suzume backed into the corner again and hurriedly prepared a jitsu. The Eradicons finally stepped into view, and she loosed the energy, a pulsing water blast that knocked the troopers right off their feet. Mukuro took advantage of the assistance and summoned her own jitsu, Earth Power. The grounded were completely crushed by the ground pressure.

The guarding Eradicons obeyed their lord's orders, and stayed where they were. "You!" The commandeering Vehicon in charge pointed to another Vehicon. "Go out there and see what is going on!" The subordinate saluted and rushed outside. The remaining relocked the door, triple lock again.

'Nine now… Maybe… Just maybe…' I tried to move again, but still the pain seared, more blood escaping and dirtying the chains more. 'Arceus… It hurts still…'

More blaster blasts could be heard outside the door, the stationed Eradicons still having no clue of what was going on. "What the-?" The commanding Eradicon asked.

A sudden Amaranthine fusillade erupted and poured directly into the room, destroying, crushing, and consuming everything. In only a short minute the dragon dispersed, leaving small embers burning on the entire chamber. I was still suspended in the bonds, spared from the fuchsia blaze.

Mukuro and Suzume rushed inside the lain-waste cell. "There she is!" Suzume cried. She summoned the last of her energy and formed more hand symbols. Releasing the buildup, from her arms, water limb extensions grew and swayed upward and ripped the binds apart. Mukuro ascended and caught her tattered leader gently.

Landing softly back on the ground, Suzume did an examination of the severity of her wounds. They were fatal. "How is she?" Mukuro asked, very distraught over her.

"There is so much damage and blood lost; she should be dead a long time ago. But somehow, she refuses to die… I don't know any other way to explain it… but… somehow… she has defied death!" Suzume exclaimed.

"Oh my Arceus… But, she's still alive right?" Mukuro was unable to even breathe, knowing this.

"Miraculously… But, she won't last. We have to get her back to the base immediately!" Suzume said. She and Mukuro nodded, slinging her unconscious leader over her shoulder, ran out of the scorched chamber.

Around the corridor, Soundwave placed his foot down, blocking the hallway. Suzume and Mukuro slid to a full stop, almost losing their balance, but halted a good distance away.

"It's Soundwave!" Suzume cried.

"I'm not blind, baka! Run the other way!" Doing a full 180 degree, they retreated down to a different hallway. Soundwave gave into the chase, freeing the metal flyer in his chest as well as his tentacles. Mukuro opened the comm. link. "Ratchet! We got Shiroyuki but Soundwave is pursuing us!!!"

"I'll try to get a lock on your signatures." He said, trying to get a fixed hold on the fleeing Shinobi.

"BELAY THAT!!!" She yelled. Ratchet stopped instantly. "GET OPTIMUS AND THE REST OUT OF HERE!!! THEY'RE STILL ON THE OTHER DECKS! GET THEM OUT!!!"Ratchet did as he was told. He sent two groundbridges to their locations.

Bumblebee buzzed to Optimus, who was deadlocked in battle with his arch nemesis. The groundbridge portal, waiting their entering. Optimus signaled for Bumblebee to go, the young scout protesting at first, but obeyed him. Bumblebee was safely on the other side, Raf coming to meet him.

"Where's Optimus?" Jack asked. Bumblebee buzzed his response.

"Still battling Megatron." Rafael translated.

"The others should be coming now." Ratchet said, examining the signals. Bulkhead and Arcee emerged from the swirling portal, their charges running up to them as well. Suzume and Mukuro are still there though…

Ducking behind another corner, Suzume and Mukuro hoped to rest for a little while. They were being chased by not only Soundwave, but his alive extensions which apparently had minds of their own.

"D-Do you think w-we lost h-him?" Suzume rasped. Mukuro placed Shiro down off her back, and collapsed down to the floor with her.

A laser blast barely missed the trio, fired by the metallic bird. "No…" Mukuro sprang to her feet and grabbed the albino girl with her, the triad on the run again. Soundwave reunited with his minion and joined the chase again.

"We've been trying to get him off our backs for a while now! We can't keep running forever!" Suzume complained.

"Quit your whining! We just have to keep going!" Mukuro barked back. The two darted inside a room around a corner, Soundwave apparently thinking they kept going. They finally lost him, so they could catch their breath.

"I've got them!" Ratchet exclaimed. He had gotten a hold of them, and their signals were locked in place. A groundbridge appeared inside the room, brightly illuminating every crevice of the area. Mukuro kept her hold on Shiro still secure and the two desperately charged into it.

Soundwave on the other side of the door nodded to himself. 'They are no longer on the ship… At least I have recorded their abilities though…' The stoic mech stalked off away, to report his data to his lord.

Ratchet and the others held their breath. Stepping out of the swirls, the three girls emerged exhausted. He quickly shut off the power, losing the connection to the teleporter's coordinates aboard the Decepticon Warship.

Ratchet came over to the girls immediately, and took Shiroyuki off of Mukuro. The rouge Power felled to the ground but was held up by Wisdom. "Ratchet… She needs attention too."

Suzume allowed the medic to take her other comrade, and place her into another bed.
There were numerous blood increasers attached to various parts of Shiroyuki and an oxygen mask on her face. He was doing a diagnosis on her damage received but it was nothing short of grim. Too many organs were punctured, so much blood lost, and a gaping hole standing out in the middle of her chest. No one could believe she had lived as long as she did when Mukuro and Suzume found her.

"Is she still-?" Mukuro asked, pillows propping her head up in the bed.

"Her lungs were deflated by her crushed ribcage…  And there is a fragging bone through the middle of her heart, yet it still beats. Faintly. I don't understand… It's not possible… Not even a Cybertronian would be able to survive it all." Ratchet said.

She closed her eyes and slumped into the bed. "It's impossible for any shinobi… but… I do suppose that this is… Arceus…" Her voice was a bit lower than her usual, but was heard clearly.

Everyone's head turned to the albino girl and then the rouge one. "What does that mean?" Jack asked. Suzume chuckled slightly in her chair that was positioned next to her rouge counterpart.

"Maybe he isn't finished with her or Arceus has chosen her, out of all his servants, the Power, the Wisdom, and the Courage shinobi. I don't know what he has planned, but…" Another smile streaked across Suzume's face.

"Who are we to judge Lord Arceus's ways?" Mukuro sighed calmingly.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

"Thank Arceus she's alright…" Palkia solaced softly. His twin Monarch nodded, appeased as well for the turnout. But, he did look up to the continual wafts that swirled in turmoil around the super beings.

"Who are we to judge Arceus's ways?" He solemnly asked the expanse.

The pale rose hung his head in reproach. "We aren't. I… should trust his workings more."
"Assistance came one way or another, Brother." The dark aoi gem reminded him. __________________________________________________________________________________________

Soundwave had finished showing all records that he had taken onto the main screen of the Nemesis. His lord had grimaced after its climax. "They hold unharnessable power within themselves."

He turned to face his ever loyal taciturn spy. "They may hold the key to the conquering of the universe. From the tests from Knockout's sample of that human's blood, they may even hold the power to destroy the universe from its inside out. Time, Space, Dimension.

"But it seems that, they are unable to unleash their full power. Restrained, perhaps from doing so by a higher force or entities. Imagine the power we would possess if we had an iron hold on their source."
